What the Hell Am I Doing Now?

I’ve been working on a few things tonight including one of them being work-related and the others, obviously, not. :) Interestingly enough, all are related to the computer. I figured since Sha’s attending Lee’s baseball game down in Prince George, I might was well get some stuff done:

  • Checking in from time to time on the school’s business systems server to ensure the emergency full backup process is running. Started around 6:30 and lasts about three hours. Should be almost done by now.
  • Updated the Richmond Free Wireless blog with the latest marketing inquiries sent to several apartment complexes in the West End.
  • Submitted various free classified ads to several Richmond blogs (check out the RVABlogs link for more info), promoting RFW. Hope to get some feedback there.
  • Wondering why the RFW blog isn’t updating on the RVABlogs website. Think I’ll inquire about that tomorrow.

Non-computer tasks (yeah, I’m actually doing those too!):

  • Doing laundry in a bad-ass Frigidaire front-loader washer and dryer…actually, in TWO of them!  (We have the whole dorm floor to ourselves so we make full use of both sets of washers and dryers! :D ).  Speaking of laundry, we’ve been using that prissy lavender soap with the related fabric softener and dryer sheets.  Good stuff.
  • Put the kids to bed.  Actually, that was a while ago and they’ve been asleep now for about two hours.  Didn’t take long for them to go to sleep.  Must have been all the playground playing that Sha put them through today!
  • Reading “Red Storm Rising” by Tom Clancy.  Old book but I picked it up at the library last week and need to get my butt in gear if I’m going to finish it before I have to turn it it.  Maybe I should be an extension on the due date.
  • Listening to iTunes (wait, is that “computer-related”?)  Actually, I’m listening to the Roadhouse podcast.  Great stuff there.

Sha just called me and said she’s on her way back.  Think I’ll finish the laundry, turn the computer off and call it a night.  :)
