Twitter problems? Read this…
Apparently MacWorld caused quite a stir throughout Twitterverse yesterday, causing the systems to crash or become unbearably slow due to the massive load. Twitter took action by reducing the number of requests from normally 70 per hour to a ridiculously low number, preventing clients such as (my favorite) twhirl the ability to log in and perform normally. The twhirl developer posted an awesome explanation to his blog which really opened my eyes.
I initially thought maybe Twitter Tools had something to do with it and was growing bummed thinking I may need to turn it off. But, the developer assured me not and sent me the link to his blog via Twitter itself. Fortunately, Twitter’s web interface is working normally albeit without the “coolness factor.”
That being said, I guess patience is a virtue for now. ![]()

Hi,
thanks for this post, and your nice words about twhirl. But may I ask you to correct the spelling of “twhirl” (mind the “h”)?
Thanks!
Yup, all done! Not sure why I can’t remember the “h”!
