Mohr or Less

Well, my trip to DC has been cancelled.  Decided to do that after talking to my mom last night who didn’t seem quite “with it” to me (scoll down a bit to see what I mean).  What made me decide to stay around the area was when she kept on mentioning how she’ll “go see Matt and Mackenzie” and “she’ll visit with Sha and the kids” even though I kept telling her that she can’t just show up here at the school (where I live too, of course), and expect to just pop-in unexpectedly.  Um, we do have security here as well as students who still on campus, actually in the same building I live in.

That being said, I lost out on the hotel room since I reserved it through Hotwire (expensive lesson; was a killer rate, yes, but zero refunds…none…nada…no way.  Remember that, people.)  At least I got a refund on my train ticket.  Whew.  And, since I won’t be spending $$ going to expensive restaurants up there, I’m planning on putting some gas in the car and going hiking tomorrow as part of my “what do I want to do?” list.  :)  Sha offered to keep the kids all day so I’m going to go to my favorite spot if the weather holds out.  I’ll have the kids at night and Sha will pick them up again on Sunday for a few hours.
