My Tuesday…

Had a very good Tuesday, thank goodness.  Not sure if I’d want to have another Monday like that for quite a while.  I guess it really was a “bad case of the Mondays”!!  (Actually, that’s one of my favorite movies.  Been a while since I’ve watched it too.  Hmmm…  :) )

Got some mundane work done at work that I’ve been wanting to work on for work (wow, that’s a lot of “work”!).  Started setting up a new server for our upcoming Exchange deployment that I’ve received official word on for moving to from our current email environment.  That’ll be an excellent move, IMHO, especially since I have a bunch of experience w/ Exchange, it’s pretty much an industry standard and is overall better supported, again IMHO (for the argumentative, I’ll throw in the “arguably” word.  Then again, these same people may not have worked with FirstClass in comparison to Microsoft:  FC sucks and I know.)

Discovered that HP doesn’t readily offer Mac drivers on its website for download and that one must purchase the CD to receive them.  I think that’s a bit…um… (don’t you hate when the word you’re looking for is right on the tip of your tongue???) not prejudicial….shit…okay, you fill in the blank here or leave a comment and help me out!  :D  Biased?  Nah…  ANYWAY, it just sucks that they do that.  :)  Needless to say, I had a work around by simply copying the HP folder from the apps folder on one Mac to the one I needed it.  TY Apple (and, no TY, HP!)

Other mundane stuff too, of course, but so much of it that I either can’t remember it and am blocking it out or just don’t care to mention it because it’s just too…well, mundane.  (Hey, maybe that could be a word of the day.)

So I get done with work and go home to pick the kids up to take them to the Tuckahoe Y.  They really love going there.  As soon as I walk through the door, Kaleb is “THE GYM!  THE GYM!  THE GYM!” because he knows.  :)  We spent about an hour and a half or so there, they in the child care, of course and me abusing myself on the treadmill for another 6.5 miles in 30 min.  I also did a bit of shoulder and back work.  Still trying to find my routine again for the weights.  Think I’ll look back through my logbook and mirror what I did at Gold’s in Staunton.  Been a while now and really don’t think I’ll suffer from muscle memory at this point.

We get home and I feed the kids, do the dishes, throw two loads of laundry in and log on to SL for my nightly hour-long hosting session.  I’ll be sure to post a blog entry about that some time w/ screenshots.  Actually it’s a nice stress reliever, IMHO.

Spent about two hours on the phone with a wonderful friend of mine who’s going through a divorce.  Very nice to confide in each other, of course.

And I work up today (duh?) but just couldn’t do the abs workout since I slept another 15 min (sooo tired but worth it!) and I had to fold the clothes anyway.  Coffee’s kicking in too and that’s always a good thing.

Y’all have a good one!
