Mohr or Less

Hope, not that kind of 4×4 (although I do like my Suby Forester, even though I don’t think it’s really qualifies as a “true” 4×4; I’m sure others will argue. ). This kind of 4×4 came from an invite via Doug Meacham via Twitter.

Here are my answers:

Four Jobs I’ve Had:

1. Produce clerk - my first job when I lived in Macungie, PA where I grew up. Used to enjoy having rotten fruit fights in the storeroom with coworkers until I found out that was kinda frowned upon.
2. Peach tree thinner - know how peaches are usually so big? It’s because of guys like me who would “thin” the trees out or, basically, pinch off every three or four buds so the fruit would get bigger. That was, ummm, fun!
3. Parking lot attendant at the Lehigh Valley Velodrome - largest bicycle track on the East Coast. Lots of Olympians train here. I used to direct traffic and get in for free. Very cool place to work if one’s a cycling enthusiast.
4. Reference Desk Clerk - I enjoyed this job very much as it allowed me to meet people of many backgrounds while assisting them with their research. It also allowed me to get into parking lot fights over $0.10 overdue book fines!

Four Music Artists I’m Listening To Now:

Well, anyone who follows my Twitter feed will see me track my listening interests via my Last.fm account. Unfortunately, some that almost NEVER post to Twitter except to bitch about too many music twits from me have made me rethink reducing the amount of Last.fm twits. I guess three twits every hour is just too much for them. Um, get a life? Or, better yet, don’t follow me. At any rate, check out what I’m listening to, right now, on the right of my blog here. Four Places I’ve Been:

1. Thailand - Thanks to the Navy.
2. Nottingham, England - Thanks to CapitalOne (probably the only good thing I ever got out of that fucking place. )
3. Norfolk, Nebraska - Actually, this is an awesome place. Nothing like being knee deep in the Mid-West, surrounded by ranches and open ranges. I was sooo in my element there!
4. St. Thomas, Virgin Islands - Another Navy excursion. Got drunk for the first time in my life there. Not a fun experience.

Four Places I’d Rather Be Right Now:

1. Verona, NJ - There’s a very specific reason for this I’ll go into at another time.
2. Cold Mountain trail - located in the Shenendoah Valley. Quite possibly one of my most favorite locations.
3. Corolla, NC - just north of Duck but not as crowded. I haven’t been there in several years, however, I love how you can take a 4×4 on the beach, past all the tourist areas. You can throw a surf line into the water and sit back with a six-pack all day.
4. Fogelsville, PA - Home of my parents’ farm. Something very serene about that place, not to mention I have an insane amount of family history (for example) there.
