Making this a Quick One…

Getting kind of late and I’m getting kind of tired so I’m going to make this a quick one.   (”That’s what she said!” - Michael Scott of NBC’s “The Office”; sorry, had to be said!).

After three days, I’m finally triumphant in creating a campus-wide Netinstall/Restore image for all the Intel Macs.   Those three days of “tinkering” will save me weeks or even months of work so the time spent was well worth it.

8-23-hole-wifi.jpgAdded two more gateways to Richmond Free Wireless this week:  here and here.  Also, Gregory Hershey of Brick Weekly wrote a wonderful story about the project.  I actually had tears in my eyes as he managed to capture and articulate my passion for this project and successfully expressed, in words, on paper (hard to do, IMHO), just how much I want to see this initiative succeed and prosper.

With all of that, I’ve been fighting a hell of an ear infection which I think (knocking on wood) is almost over.  Went back to the doctor tonight to get the gauze removed from my ear.  They actually wanted to charge me $20 for that.  I laughed in their faces, pulled it out myself and walked out.  $20 for something that took me 10 seconds.  Wow.  At anyway, back to running tomorrow and hope to get back on track next week with running and the weights.

Y’all have a good one!  :D

  1. Congratulations on the article and NetInstall!

  2. Thx, Scott! As I’m sure you know, I enjoy staying busy but three days on one thing and trying many processes was getting a bit tiresome. Glad it all worked out. And the article was outstanding. Greg really captured the “personal” side of the project, I think.
