Geek Stuff for Today: Comcast & Verizon
Big day for us with “geekdom.” We’ve been without cable since we’ve moved to St. Catherine’s which is going on about a month now. We never watched much TV before and didn’t plan on doing much now, especially with all that Richmond has to offer. However, there’s only so many Backyardigan DVDs we can take.
So, needless to say, we finally had our cable installed today in the apartment. Took some coordination to get the installers here to work with the Maintenance department but now all’s good. We just got the basic package as we didn’t need anything else. So long as we have our Thursday evenings of “My Name is Earl” and “The Office”, we’re happy! Oh, and our Sunday’s of “Family Jewels” with Gene Simmon’s and his family. Extremely wacky!
In addition to getting our cable back, I decided to contact Verizon about my cell phone that I’ve been having numerous problems with.
When we renewed our contract, we “upgraded” our phones to the Motorola Krzr. I’ve had so many problems with that damn thing, it made me want to do the same thing that happens to this iPhone to that Krzr. However, I held my cool and decided to give Verizon the benefit of the doubt. So, I called them tonight and spoke with a very nice technician who assured me that I can now go to the Verizon store and pick up my new Krzr. We’ll see how long that one will last!
