Fun With Pictures…
Sha’s even beginning to really get into posting pics from the cell to the blog. Me, I’m trying to think of “witty” things to write about so I can keep up! ![]()
Here’s a pic that Sha took yesterday at Meadow Farm Museum at Crump Park. I had a blast pushing Taylor on the swing. It’s amazing just how mobile, independent and agile she is. She doesn’t even let her autism affect her in any way. The only concern we have with her is that she doesn’t seem to recognize her own strength. Whether she’s playing with kids her own age or older or younger, she’ll pretty much “bulldoze” them without realizing she may be hurting them. That’s something we’re trying very hard to work with for her but we hate doing that at the expense of other kids.
Matt and Mackenzie are really good with both Taylor and Kaleb and they realize that Taylor needs just a bit of different attention than other kids her age. They have a lot of patience with the younger ones. That’s something I know I could certainly take some lessons on from time to time! It’s amazing to me to see how siblings adjust to their younger brothers and sisters and show them various wonders of the world.
The second pic was taken this evening right outside our front door at the school on the Junior Kindergarten playground. Kaleb spent some time walking around the railroad ties that serve as the perimeter of the playground. He only slipped a few times although he has to think very hard about rounding the corners!
After that, they both decided it was more fun playing in the woodchips! ![]()
