Butterfly chasers! (and today’s other events)
Kids chasing butterflies!
From Kory M.
Have all the kids over this weekend. Today was a good day. Mostly messed around campus. I got my haircut in Oregon Hill at Pine St. Barbershop. Very, very nice there. Theron did an excellent job. HOWEVER, (and I know I should have asked first), I really wasn’t prepared to pay $25 for a haircut. Yes, I said $25.00. My jaw hit the floor when I asked “how much?” I put the $20 bill back in my wallet and pulled out the debit card. As much of a nice guy as he was, I’m sorry, but I just can’t afford to go back there anymore. At least he washed my hair! Needless to say, we’re going to invest in a set of clippers since I like my hair high and tight. Sha said she’d cut it for me. We’ll see how she does!
It was such a gorgeous day that I would have preferred spending the late morning with Sha and the kids as they chased butterflies above. But, considering school starts at St. Catherine’s on Tuesday, I figured I should look my squeaky best! So, I came back home and we celebrated Lee’s birthday (see earlier post from today). Sha also got me an early birthday present (Burnout Dominator for the Playstation) which I managed to play for a bit with the boys. (Just got done watching Sha play the boys; very cool!)
Ran over to the server room to figure out why the tape jobs were acting up. Discovered the boss forgot to change some of the rulesets due to some server changes earlier this week. That only took an hour and half to find.
Now, we’re settling down to watch “Beetlejuice” with all the kids (little ones are in bed). Don’t you just love the trainset the dude has in the attic? Such a good movie although I guess it’s considered a “classic” now. (I feel old.)
All in all, a very good day!

$25 is crazy for a haircut.
Go see Mr. Adams and Bill and Adams Barber Shop (821 W Broad St).
12 bucks for a great cut and depending on who’s in there at the moment, some interesting conversations.
Oh, I totally agree, Tripp. I almost vomited when I heard the charge. Did a good job but not for $25!! I was used to paying about $12 for a haircut in Staunton AND they trimmed my goatee for no extra charge.
You’re the second to recommend Bill & Adams so I’ll definitely be checking them out. Thx for the tip! Are they open on Saturdays by chance?
