Apple Museum Anyone?

From Kory’s Cell

It’s not ceasing to amaze me to see just how much Apple stuff St. Catherine’s has laying around.

I came across this old director’s chair (note the original multi-colored logo?) in one of the classrooms that’s currently being used for storage which will shortly be used as a temporary classroom for the next two years while the school is undergoing a major renovation.

Steve Jobs' parent's garageThere are gobs and gobs of old Apple gear from the old video presentation system to the old, bubblegum-looking iBooks up to the latest MacBooks. We literally have 20 various-colored iMacs sitting in a hallway, lined up against the wall, while we figure out what we’re going to do with them. Costs a lot of money to have a vendor come in and offload them, only to turn around and resell them, thus DOUBLING their profit anyway! Working for a non-profit organization, I’m not a big proponent for that business model. Seems kind of “sharky” to me. :)

Maybe we can donate them to the Apple Museum!  Or this one (really cool older stuff!):  http://applemuseum.bott.org/

On to more exploring!
